Our Story
The Tap is a neighborhood bar no matter which neighborhood you are from! Built and developed by a team of friends and business partners to be a comfortable, low stress “drinking hole” with exceptional American food.
Understanding the need for a relaxing, neighborhood destination in beautiful historic Roswell, The Roswell Tap founders focused on the space first beginning in late summer of 2010. Working with structural engineers and architects to initially bringing out the beauty of a 100+ year old home by exposing beams and hardwoods and then focusing on several new additions including:
- an all new second floor lounge and party room
- New lighting, seating, TV’s and décor and;
- Roswell’s largest exposed deck for sunbathing, snacking and sipping your favorite cold beverage
Founders Sean McDonough and Michael Rozmajzl along with partners Ron Harvey and Sean Freeland (former owner of Freelands Pizza), have worked to assemble the right team of shareholders, vendors, builders, and specialists to make The Tap a unique and pleasurable experience from the moment you enter until the week hours when you leave.
With the addition of award winning executive chef Alana Taylor, The Tap is taking comfort food to a whole new stratosphere. The menu is highlighted by specialties from all over America focusing on local neighborhood comfort food, some that you have never heard of and some that give you that “I haven’t had that since I was a kid” feeling. Enjoy specials such as a real Chicago butter crust Deep Dish pizza, home made sausages, sliders, wings and unique sandwiches. Combine Alana’s talents with a staff that knows how to treat family and not only know what you want when you come in, they might just sit down and have one with you!
